There is a Durham Family tradition for showers for the first baby. The Jackson boys all get in on this tradition, since their cousins don't really remember when they were not part of the family! We had some great food and good visits. Thanks to everyone for helping with the food and for donating to the presents! Jesse and Emily were excited to receive help towards their stroller and a Pac N Play, along with a few toys. Emily looks darling in her 35th week of pregnancy. They are expecting a little boy. Jesse took the time to ask Grandma Hatch for her advice on raising children, since she has the most years of experience. Everyone had fun. We saw lots of cousins, too. Sorry, not enough photos!
About 30 people came. Mary made a beautiful salad, and Joni made the cute sugar cookies shaped like a baby bottle! She also brought dip. Marge and Maren brought delicious fruit. Nancy assisted with toppings for the potato bar, and Janie brought her Score Bar Cake. This is always a family favorite!
My love and appreciation to all--especially Kelly, who is always my biggest help!
